Manaslu is also known as Kutang is the eighth highest mountain in the world, and is located in the Mansiri Himal. Manaslu which means “Mountain of the  Spirit”, comes from the Sanskrit word Manasa, meaning “intellect” or “soul”. It was first climbed on 9th may 1956 by Japanese expedition including Mr.Toshio  Imanishi from Japan and Gyaltsen Norbu Sherpa from  Nepal  via North East face. It is said that “just as the British consider Everest  their mountain, Manaslu  has always been a Japanese mountain.Manaslu is little easier than other 8000m peaks if climbed in September-october .But it is very hard and threat of  avalanche in spring season.
